Education is one of the most important areas of society and constantly generates large amounts of information. Managing this information, and ensuring its storage with security, availability and immutability, is a relevant challenge. Considering this context, many technological solutions have been proposed in recent years, including Blockchain-based applications.
The use of computer-oriented Blockchain in education can guarantee security and reliability through data decentralization. This article presents a literature review containing the main research related to the use of Blockchain in educational institutions.
Among the main possibilities of application is the registration of diplomas and certificates, guaranteeing their authenticity and avoiding forgeries. It is also possible to register other important documents, such as school records. The use of smart contracts in academic settings and the recording of knowledge on Blockchain are also relevant research topics.
The scientific advances resulting from industry 4.0 have resulted in progress for different sectors of society, including education (NGUYEN and DANG, 2018). One of the emerging technological concepts is that of Blockchain, which has the potential to revolutionize the way information technology is used in education, as this technology aims to provide more security and reliability to educational processes (WATTERS, 2016).
Usually the field technician work in the given site by the client, engaged in fixing and sustaining the network, hardware, software, and other telecom and IT-related set-ups.
