In view of all this scenario that I exposed to you, the IT professional, in addition to the technical part , will need other Skills to deal with the problems.
Skills is the buzzword of recruiters, it means their translation “skills”.
After all these tips I have to tell you that to follow the IT career it is not enough to be a ninja specialist in something, speak English and have experience in the field.
You need to develop your Soft Skills . These are non-technical skills that will make you a differentiated professional, leverage your IT career and generate results for the company.
The truth is that in the end it doesn't matter anything you studied, the time you lost, the money you invested, the experience you acquired if your work does not generate value for the company - RESULT .
You will not be able to generate results by lowering your head and simply executing what you have studied, you will need to know the business and participate in it as a whole.
For that you need to develop some soft skills:
Critical thinking: It is the ability to question the various actions to be taken and the best decisions;
Problem Solving: One of the skills most valued by the market is the ability to solve problems;
Time Management: The organized worker is a professional who is not lost in the middle of the various tasks and deadlines;
Working in a Team: The ability to work in a team is increasingly valued in the job market;
Emotional intelligence: A good deal of emotional intelligence is needed where dealing with many people and with different scenarios;
Cognitive flexibility : Cognitive flexibility consists of being able to go beyond primary, automatic thinking, developing alternative interpretations and knowing how to adapt to different situations;
The Information Systems Security Engineer will research and investigate the potential impact of new threats and exploits. The engineer will guide the Information Security team in examining and developing networks security solutions. They provide advice on vulnerabilities or potential vulnerabilities within architecture.
Ability to Learn: The world is changing rapidly and you need to adapt and learn fast;
Communication: The professional who knows how to communicate is great, and all of his work must be clearly registered in order to be continued by another professional.
These are just some soft skills, they vary from company to company, but you can get an idea of how to develop to be an excellent professional.
